About the Shop

How It Started

SDR Custom Creations grew out of a side hustle printing band merch in 2019. The first setup was a single-color press clamped to a workbench in a rented storage unit. Orders came through word of mouth: a local hardcore band needed 50 shirts for a tour, then a skate shop wanted branded tees, then a brewery asked about coasters and tote bags.

By 2021, the storage unit wasn't cutting it. We moved into a proper workshop, added a four-color manual press and a DTG printer, and started taking orders from anyone with a design and a deadline.

Equipment

Our shop runs two main production lines:

  • Screen press: 4-color, 4-station manual carousel. Best for runs of 24 or more in up to four spot colors. Water-based and plastisol inks available.
  • DTG printer: Epson SureColor F2270 with white ink capability. Handles full-color photo prints, gradients, and small orders without the setup cost of screens.
  • Heat press: 16x20 swing-away for transfers, vinyl, and sublimation blanks.
  • Embroidery: Single-head 15-needle machine for hats, patches, and left-chest logos.

Process

Every order follows the same steps regardless of size:

  1. Artwork review. Send your design files (vector preferred, 300dpi raster minimum). We'll confirm print method, placement, and colors.
  2. Proof. You'll receive a digital mockup showing the design on the garment. No production starts until you approve.
  3. Production. Screen jobs take 5-7 business days after proof approval. DTG runs 2-3 days. Rush is available for an extra fee.
  4. Quality check. Every piece is inspected under strong light before packing. Misprints get pulled and reprinted at no charge.
  5. Ship or pickup. Local pickup is free. Shipping is flat-rate for domestic orders.

What We Don't Do

We're a print shop, not a design agency. We can do basic layout adjustments, resize artwork, and separate colors for screen, but we don't create original designs from scratch. If you need a designer, we're happy to refer you to people we trust.

We also don't do all-over sublimation on cut-and-sew garments. Our sublimation work is limited to flat items (mugs, mousepads, koozies) and pre-made polyester blanks.
